drum rear disk front no hydroboost conversion?

Saga:
Ive redone the drums on the rear, installed a helitool front disk conversion. removed the original single master cylinder. Made a bracket and installed a new duel mastercylinder. re worked the existing brackets a bit and lengthened the push rod. Im wanting to use original peddle set up-not hanging peddles. Everything worked fine. then I realized the new master Cylinder covered up 5 holes in the frame. Hmmm wonder what those were for, O Sh**T! thats for the Steerring column. Now Ive removed the new master cylinder set up. installed the steering wheel and the engine into the frame. Now I need to work out the Master cylinder again. Can anyone shed light on what worked for them on this conversion, how they mounted the master cylinder, Where they located it( mabey in front of steering column? I read somewhere it had to be above the line of the brakes(true or false?) Scratching my head on this one now....
