You can't drive disk type plugs into the block, there is a lip to hold the disk in place. With the cup type, you can drive the cup into the block, then grab it with a pair of pliers and pull it back out. There is no lip.
Thirty or forty years from now, looking back, you will appreciate the time you spent with your girl friend more than the time you spent in the garage.
And, if you could go back and spend another hour, it would be with her and not the truck.
When you are 70, you can always spend time in the garage. You won't be able to spend time with a 20 (or 30, or 40.....) something girlfriend.
