I'd find another one if you're restoring it. Lots of good chassis around the NW in WA & OR that are pretty much void of rust since they never used salt or corrosives up until everyone started using that horrible liquid stuff a few years back.
There was a guy in Bellingham that had a complete rolling chassis on CL...cheap a few months back but I don't see it now. It was complete...axles, engine, everything minus the body for about $500.
I'll keep an eye out.
