Doesn't mean they're still good, but that makes them less suspect. I might pop the top off the carb and make sure the float is floating and the inlet valve is sealing, though. I like the idea of making the alternator a remote-sense jobber. I've never liked the 1-wire versions because it's easy to have a volt of drop between the alternator and battery and that makes a huge difference in the % of charge on the battery. All the wiring on this trolley has been mickey-moused so much over the years that it's hard to tell what goes where or even if it's still hooked up. There may be a sense wire on the alternator that's not hooked up to anything at this point.
