like Marty says remove the nose. I like to pull the trans before removing engine and bell housing. just a preference. When lifting engine out you need to tilt the front of engine upward a bit then kind of twist it out of the rear motor mounts. you can tilt it to the drivers side then twist as you come up and it will pop out. dont know if that makes sense.
