I guess that's one way to look at it. I mean so long as you know when you go in that you're likely going to lose a pile of money then you're at least making that decision with your eyes open.
See for me, what I like about the Power Wagon/ collector car hobby is that for me it's inexpensive. I do as much work as I can myself & rarely buy a restored vehicle unless I know I can sell it for more than I paid.
Restoring Power Wagons gives me great pleasure & I don't really care if I make $5/hr for my hundreds of hours work or $0/hr but I'd definitely not be working on them if I was losing money.
You can't put a price on happiness but losing money would definitely take the happy out of it for me.
I mean you have to change with the times & I love PW's but if it was a losing proposition for me to restore them...I'd have to find another vehicle to restore where my time wasn't spent at a loss.
