You'll never miss the boat if you buy a vehicle that speaks to you, that means something more than transportation, that has personal worth far beyond what you can sell it for.

And it doesn't matter if it's a Power Wagon or a Packard or a Pinto - that's external stuff, it really is. I knew someone who spent upwards of $40,000 to restore an old Rambler station wagon because it reminded him of the car his folks had when he was a kid.

"Yeah, I know, people think I'm nuts to spend that kind of money on a car that'll never be worth it," he told me. "but for, me, the real bottom line is, it makes me happy."

I agree. You really can't put a price on happiness...
