they did grow alot from mid 90s till recently but there was a huge collapse in everything from chevies to ferraris. very beat up hemi cars and 6 pack 440 cars were selling sight unseen for 70K in late 80s. 59 cad convertibles easily were selling for 120K till about 92. then that same car dropped all the way down to 35K only now are they in the 60 to 100K range again. today I bet a perfect example in black with red leather might get over 100 easily. but whoever paid 120K for those cars in the 80s has taken a big hit. some speculate that the reason the bottom fell out of old cars in the early 90s was because of the booming economy. everyone wanted those tech stocks in the 90s so dumped all their cars. was a good idea if you got out before 99-01. ;/)
