I’m sure there are more than 4 but down here most will use a hydraulic splitter w/ quick connects to tractor or other hydraulic source. What I don’t understand is why people can’t use the proper tool for the job, not: wood chisels, screwdrivers, splitting wedges, etc.
Banana Wedges have a shallow taper and are curved used in pairs so you can drive wedges in apposing directions creating flat plane of separation of your materials, makes for easy work. If needed you can add a plate to shim out the work and reset wedges.
