It seems you are a fairly young man. This is the time to learn. I once did a timing gear change twice in one day on a Ford LTD station wagon, 390 V8. The first time took about 4 or 5 hours. I put the gear back on incorrectly, due to inexperience. The car barely ran. I ended up doing the job all over, this time in less than 2 hours. And I will never put a timing gear back together incorrectly again.
You have a lot of time ahead of you in life, so it would be good to use that time to gain the experience in whatever you encounter. Paying someone else to do it is for us "old timers". :)
