I've got older, and much newer manuals handy, but the later, still points years, would need some digging. Maybe somebody else has one handy? My specs were in 'service details- igniton' in the front of the book.


Condensers have to match the coil load, which I suppose is different for 12v? Old manuals also had pics of burned points, to diagnose whether the cap was correct- on side burnt, too much cap, other side not enough.

I don't know whether the factor was 'average rpms' or just fine tuning to the particular coil. The book shows some off brands slightly lower, .17-.23- Nash, Hudson, Willys.

Yes. they sure have made progress in miniaturizing caps. Look up 'ultra cap' on wiki.
