The inner cone wears fastest, and the rollers. If the outer cone has no pitting or flaking, it's good to go.

Rollers are worn out when the dimple in the end is near gone.

Or when parts vomit out of the cage.

Hey $7 front wheel bearings on your Dart are more disposable than the $50 races on the back of a Pererbilt.

But some people would rather brag about how much they spend, or make a profit. Others brag about maximum life span.

Personally, I jack it up and spin the wheel before removal. Sounds good then, and looks good on a visual,bearing gets a repack.
