I painted my trucks, For me laying the paint down was the easy part. I think it comes down to the body work under the paint if you take short cuts in wet sanding it will show up when you put the top coat down, the more time you spend before you paint the better it will look. Having said that there is point for me when I say I cant prep this thing forever and I go ahead and spray color. I like ppg paint it works for me, it expensivesome of the primer I used was 175 dollars a gallon with out hardner and other needs. That was a while ago to I'm sure prices have went up. Having said all that I really like Tractor suppy paint I have repainted 1 of my fenders on one of my trucks black with tractor supply paint bolted it up to other body work painted with ppg and I cant etll the difference. Will it last as long problly not but it was cheaper
