Sorry to hear about the winch failure. I was concerned about the shear pin on mine prior to starting. I was thinking that due to the age of the equipment that the shear pin would fail. But, I failed to realize that the pin was made with American steel by an American company that really wanted to promote/sell a multi use piece of equipment that would last under sustaind heavy use. An aquaintance of mine moved up to your neck of the woods about 12 years ago. He had a small excavating business back here. I have heard that he purchased quite a bit of land on the top of a mountain around the Coeur d'Aliene area. Sounds like a great area to get into the B1 with some ammo and fishing gear for a quiet time in the bush.
