The adapter and seal come from Charles Talbert at M-series rebuild. If I remember he also includes the redi-sleeve for the yoke as well as part of the "kit".
The adapter is a heavy machines piece of steel that fits the opening and holds the modern double lip seal for the pinion shaft.
