I looked at those rims kind of closely and they sure look like original centers to me cut at the rivets. I am not sure about cracking the centers but among people using the Hummer H1 wheels (double beadlock) and recentering them to a more conventional offset the flat machined centers have kind of gone out of favor. Several companies are pressing centers with a dished shape. This is stronger than flat centers even with half the material thickness so you get a much lighter and stronger wheel. I have stockton wheels and I think the center is 1/2" thick. I would bet the original centers would be the strongest readily available solution, the trick is getting a tight fit in the wheel and gettign it all trued up.
