I'm going to try to separate the shaft at the winch. I may have the same situation as you, with everything seized together. I'm worried about bending the drive shaft, but I'll support everything, and try to secure the driveshaft as best I can.
I'm going to heat up the connection where the drive shaft meets the winch, see if that helps to split them apart.
