No, they worked when I sold it to Dan.
There is a small relay that the brake wire goes to so that when the hydralic pressure is applied, it completes the circuit and the brake lights come. Make sure one of the wires didn't come off. It is on the frame, driver's side, engine compartment. Also check fuses, fire wall, driver's side.
