When I was so much younger I drove a 58 Mack Dump Truck with a 6 cyl flathead, a 5 speed main and a 3 speed aux., all non syncro, all day hauling construction trash. Had to shift 8 times to get to 20mph. I get it. Then a GMC 9600. You learn how to shift without the clutch. The downshift is the tricky part. Gar
