Hi Doc, talked with Joel and Ed, sounds like you guys had a great week at OBX. Glad the weather held good for you guys, thanks for posting pics of the trip, its cool to see PW's in the sand.I really want to make WV this year but it will have to be a wait and see kind of thing, Didn't know I would make Iowa until the last minute.
The bed on the crew was made from a 1/2 ton 2wd short bed narrow box. I used a header and wheel arches from a later w-series to get the right width, and removed 12 inches from the front and added 8 inches to the back to achieve a 2nd series look alike. The header from the narrow box was then used on the front seat back. I thought it tied it in nicely. This was all done prior to Matt reproducing bed sides, If I had to do again I would definitely use Matt's bedsides as they are spot on and would easily have been cut down and saved countless hours of welding / body work
