Hello Jersey Jim - Welcome !!! Best thing to do is get yourself to Fairfield, Iowa Wednesday, June 6 - Saturday June 9, 2001 for the 14th annual Vintage Power Wagons Rally. Probably 100 or so trucks & good folks from all over.

VPW is at: http://vintagepowerwagons.com/default.htm

Joe has excellent resources on this site. Got to the "Power Wagon Home" link near the top of the Forum page. From there navigate to "Books and Magazines", "Parts Sources", etc.

For POWER WAGON books, I recommend, in order...

1. "Dodge Power Wagons, 1940 - 1980 Photo Archive"; Don Bunn, 1998, Iconografix, ISBN 1-882256-89-1.

2. "Dodge Trucks"; Don Bunn, 1996, Motorbooks International, ISBN 0-7603-0118-2.

3. "Dodge Pickups, History & Restoration Guide 1918-1971"; Don Bunn & Tom Brownell, 1991, Motorbooks International, ISBN 0-87938-491-3

4. "Dodge Pickup Color History"; Don Bunn & Mike Mueller, 1996, Motorbooks International, ISBN 0-7603-0170-0.

5. "Dodge Power Wagon Photo History"; Monty Montgomery, 2000, Iconografix, ISBN 1-58388-019-4.

6. "Dodge Pickup Trucks"; Steve Statham, 1998, Motorbooks International, ISBN 0-7603-0350-9.

7. "Illustrated Dodge Pickup Buyer's Guide"; Don Bunn, 1994, Motorbooks International, ISBN 0-87938-847-1.

8. "Illustrated Classic 4x4's Buyer's Guide"; Jim Allen, 1997, Motorbooks International, ISBN 0-7603-0340-1.

9. "Standard Catalog of 4x4's 1945-1993, Robert C. Ackerson, 1995, Krause Publications, ISBN 0-87341-203-6. This book may have been updated by now.

The first four are the best. You can fill in with others later. All the books have a few minor errors, so you may notice some conflicting info - nothing too bad.

Hope that helps. Have FUN !!!

Cheers, JB
