Glad your up on your history. While you gave the answer as to WHO,you did not say why
he was the cause. While Henry Ford was in contract business with them,he was really a crook and had a history of beating investors out of their money ,thats how he got the cash to start his own company without investors telling him how to build cars.He also had the habit of reneging on contracts with suppliers of parts. This was the cause when Ford reneged on an order of parts and refused to pay and recieve the shipment.Ford decided to change model design and left Dodge holding the bag.To prevent a large loss of money, the Dodge brothers foundry decided to assemble the engines and chassis to produce vehicles to recoup some of their money. They had to make all the finishing pieces to complete the cars an thus was born the Dodge motorco. Had Henry Ford not been such a crook, there would have never been a Dodge Power Wagon.
