I guess you have to be a old vehicle person to understand what you are about to undertake!
Most of my friends would look at me like I was crazy if I suggested something like driving a 6x6 with a top speed of 56 miles an hour, and who knows what kind of problems all the way accross the country.
But it sounds like a neat challange!
Of course my friends might understand, my last "vacation" was driving from WI straight to CO(two one hour naps), then from CO on to WA(still no rest, though I was not driving at this point). Two days in WA stripping trucks, and scouting the area, and then the reverse of the trip up. Total trip time, home, and back was 5 1/2 days. What did I get? A winch equiped V8 4spd 1959 W300.
Was it worth it? Ask me in a few months, but I think so!
