Geez, are 318 oil pickup tubes made of gold?

I need an oil pickup tube for a rear sump oil pan for a 318LA as found on pickup trucks.

Local parts supply houses have quoted me between $59 and $79 bucks for a new one. This seems awfully high to me, like 3 to 4 times what the oil pump costs.

Anyone know of a better source and price?

While I'm at it, who makes a heavy duty oil pump drive shaft for the 318LA?
