Dipping REALLY does a job on rust and old paint.

Too good, in fact.

You'll need to seal seams and get paint or sealer inside of panels, seams, etc.

The bed usually does not present a problem, unless the tubes that the bed top edge is rolled over has the end caps damaged to water can get inside.

But for doors and fenders and other parts, you may need to rig up a way to get paint into blind areas. Doors are especially a probelm, because there will be zero protection inside, yet water will drip past the window moldings and really rust things up.

Areas where water and dirt can get into are the most vulnerable.
