I insure both my 52 PW and my 42 Carryall with State Farm insurance. They both are insured under their "Clasics" designation. They both are also licenced in the State of Washington as a Collectors car which means that they are not daily drivers. As for cost, insurance is about $200 per year for each truck. One has a stated value of 20K which they will pay if the truck is totaled. I do not consider it a bad deal at all. You must have a daily driver insured with them in addition to the "Clasic".
We did get State Farm to pay close to $8K when my son destroyed our 58 Willys wagon. All it took was a valuation done by a estimator prior to the accident. The one we had was 8 years old.

The licence for each truck was a one time payment to the State that is equal to the normal yearly fees + $25. Never a yearly payment after that. I am required to have a licence plate from the year of manufacture on the truck. They were easy enough to get. Washington State seems to like older vehicles, they make it easy for us. The only difficult thing is to get past the State Patrol inspection when you bring it into the state for licencing. They go over the vehicle pretty well looking at Vin numbers. They better match. They do not give a rip about the condition or saftey items on the vehicle. They are looking for stolen vehicles or parts. A year or so ago they found a 56 Chev Belair that had been stolen in 1972 and they traced it back to the original owner in Georgia, called him and told him to come get his car. He did. The car was stolen from some place down south. The guy who had the car inspected produced a bill of sale and was let go. The tile had been laundered in a state with lax licencing laws.
