If'n yer puttin' on a PW, you'd probably be much happier with the late factory cast iron manifold and a TQ carb. The book "how to hotrod small block mopars" says that they beat out all the aftermarket stuff except the six packs. I have a 67 'cuda with a 318, 340 cam, later swirl port heads and a Small TQ on the factory iron manifold that gave me an honest 19.8 MPG at 83 MPH (average) and much of that particular trip from which that number came was over a mile in elevation. BTW, did you guys know Colorado highway patrol used Z28 Camaro's? Nope! got radared, but I zigged when he zagged. Go figure...If can't find the manifolds and heads close to you, let me know. I can find 'em. Ho**ey carbs are perfect for Ch**y's. Neither one of them are worth a bucket of warm spit.
