Is there a bolt-on overdrive unit (similar to the "Ranger OD" found on many older Jeeps) that can be added to an original 1953 B-4-PW (230 C.I.) with 5:83's?? These units can be engaged/disengaged in any transmission gear, but work best in fourth as if adding a fifth gear.
If there is (or was ever) such a unit, could someone pass on any available info?
Besides wanting to up the gear ratio range, I think I need one more lever sticking up through the floorboards! Thanx Bruce
