It also happens on the 230 motors right in between the 5th and 6th cylinder.
Over a year ago, I was given the name of a company that deals with manifolds.

Of course, many people on this forum have manifolds if you need one. I got mine from Doug Higgins who is still a, "straight up guy". Hey Doug, gotta keep that inside joke going.
For the 230 motor, there are 2 positions where the exhaust dumps out. One is between the 5th & 6th cylinders and the other is behind the 6th cylinder.
I don't know if the same is true for the 251.
Maybe these cracks are due to the extra cast iron in that area where all the exhuast dumps out. That extra iron takes longer to cool than the rest of the manifold and probably gets hotter than other areas of the manifold. Just a few thoughts.
