To the best of my knowledge GM only bought into AM General for one reason. To be able to market the hummer 2. As GM will have it, by the time H2 hits the street it will have parts in common with every SUV GM produces so that they can cut cost. The H2 will not have the appeal to the same customer that wants a Hummer. At least in my mind.
