Have you checked the points?
1. Turn the engine to rotate the distributor until the points are closed,
2. Take the wire that goes into the cap from the coil and hold it about a 1/4 inch away from a ground,
3. Turn the ignition on. Open the points with a screw driver. You should get a spark.
On some of the MV water proof systems, you can't test using this method.
