I'm sure it was, seeing how the PW must have out weighted the Nissan by something like 2:1. Towing something that outweights the towing rig can be tricky to say the least, and possibly down right dangerous if the vehicle being towed has no brakes. I had my own adventure one time in Hohenfelds training area in Germany many years ago. Was towing in some other guys M816 5 ton wrecker with my M816 wrecker, but because nether of us had the right airhoses I had to tow his truck without brakes. Even with a tow bar, this was a very tricky thing to have done on the tank trails at Hohenfelds. Luckly, I toke my time and made back in all in one piece.
