You know something WOJ, your absolutely right! I was hoping you were wrong when I went to the shed to look at a spitfire head I have. I guess thats what happens when you speak without thinking!Well it has been over 10 yrs since I've had to take the head off a flathead 6 .So take the head off and measure your stroke.
