I would caution against having the wheel loader under power. If it gets ahead of the cable and them slides back, you're going to break something, especially if you are anchored to a tree. Is it possible to attach the cable hook to something else to share the load? Maybe hook the cable to the trees, and then chock your wheels well, maybe even chain your truck to another truck with it's wheels chocked also. Anything to stop all the stress and/or shock from going through your truck alone.

I was able to pull a very large Mack water tanker (empty) out of a soft spot using only two wheel chocks and a straight pull. Sometimes it doesn't take much to get them free.
