GMC 2.5 ton 6X6 quesion. (sorry, non Dodge)

Hello:

The other day I went to do a bid on a scrap job and it just so happens that outback sets a 1952 GMC XM221 Deuce and a half. If I haul these old cars off and the metal off, I can take this truck for almost free. The truck has a running engine, but bad trans..BUT there is a good spare trans that comes with it. It is a hard top and is very solid and complete. Is there any MV buffs on this forumn who have played with the GMC M-series Deuce and a halfs? Are there any websites on the net regarding these trucks? I have searched Hi and low for info on the net about these trucks and have found nothing. Thanks and sorry for the non-Power Wagon question.
