Dear fellow members:

I want to adjust the valves on my 50 PW (230 c.i.). The manual says adjust while running? Is this correct? Other motor manuals say adjust at operating temp (run to temp, then shut down?). I've adjusted a 55 230 "cold" by setting several thousandths over (or under, can't remember which) factory specs, and it has run fine since. Anyway, does anyone know the correct way this should be done? If "cold" adjusting, what are the correct over (or under?) specs? The manual says .010 for intake and .014 exhaust (or the reverse?) at hot setting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, R. Rogers
