All good information and maybe if I get a an old manifold that needs repair I will try it.
After consideration, I'll just replace the manifold. If I could braze it in place, I would try it. But the manifold seems thin and I can't get to it easily enough to ensure a good braze without probably burning something. Given the amount of effort it takes to get it in and out, I'll just spend the $100
