the guy who used to braze mine passed away but they never cracked. I have brazed a few with good success. my brazing does not look near as good as the old guys but they are working. one suggestion I read here on the forum from a professional welder was to chip the groove in instead of grinding it. gives more surfaces for the brazing to cling to. if you buy a new one maybe practice on the old one. I have replaced many old toyota manifolds and more than half were to brittle in the inch or 2 on either side of the crack. you can tell because it will look a little deformed and discolored to sometimes a grayish color in the brittle areas.
