Hello all.
a few weeks ago I was able to help my friend rescue a 42 ambulance.
he has decided to sell it to focus on other projects.
I wish i could snag it but just don't have the time right now.
Let me know if you are interested and we can get you in touch with him.

This is the info he sent me:

"I have a 1942 3/4 Ton ambulance for sale. Not Running, but looks complete under the hood. Engine is free and turns well. Has some body damage, front bumper is bad, dings dents here and there, typical stuff. Not to much rust, mostly just surface. Dash is all original and has all original data plates and gauges. It has four combat rims (I think I can get a 5th?) driver and pass seats are nice but not original. Has a decent rear interior including the walls and ceiling boards, folding spring-loaded hinged rear bench seats. Rear doors are their, but stuck and missing glass. It appears the roof vent is complete and still intact. The worst prob with the body is a small portion of the rear roof where the rear doors are secured has been cut away for some reason. The coolest thing about it is that it is still in its original OD paint. Hood numbers and markings are all still visible along with the crosses, "ambulance" above the driver, "S" on the cowl, the med symbols on the side. Drivers side door has been stenciled, TO; PTO Mt Rainer Wash Ord Depot. I will try to post pics in the next week or so. I have the title. Asking $4000 OBO"
