I love my pumps with the primer lever. I pump them up after being parked more than a few days. Filling the bowl first lets them fire up first lick.
But geeze, the rubber tips on Carter inlet needles sure do like to glue themselves to the brass inlet fitting. I wonder if the geometry of floats got better later? Length of arm from pivot to float body would give more leverage to pull the inlet away from the seat. Oh well, what we've got is what we've got.
