Gary,

First let me apologize, for if I have screwed up or someone on my team screwed up, it amounts to the same thing, your dissatisfaction. I urge you to contact me directly at 641-472-0740. I will make it as right with you as I can.

That being said, I hate back-ordering parts. You hate back-ordered parts. We have an imperfect system of dealing with back-order notifications that predates the internet. That will be addressed, I assure you. Back-ordering parts cost us big time.

I'm the guy that unlocks the gate in the morning, pays the bills & taxes, turns off the lights at night. I find parts, photograph parts & edit the catalog. I eat lunch at my desk every day between phone calls, e-mailing, faxing and calling suppliers and manufacturers, asking why the 200 pieces of weatherstrip (or whatever)that I had ordered back in November was not delivered in March like they promised and now it's May... so I care, and I fully understand your frustration. If you give me a chance I will do my best to make it right with you.

I do so wish we had a full computerized inventory that notified us of stock on hand, but sadly we do not. For my guys to know 100% that something is in stock requires a physical check of a shelf, bin or crate in one of over ten buildings or over a dozen containers on our 19 acres. This is difficult to deal with for every call on every item - like I said we are not perfect, someone may have remembered 50pcs of part "X" coming in earlier in the week but may have not realized that those 50 pieces of part "X "were only enough to fill the back-orders.

If you are ever dissatisfied with a VPW part or our service please don't let it rankle, talk to me! If I don't know about a problem I can't fix it.
