the only dodge I can think of that has shackles at the back is the M37. the reason is they ride much much better than front shackle. so ride quality will go away with fron shackle. WCs and FFPWs have front shackle and when you drive an M37 after driving a PW you can immediatley tell the difference on bumpy roads. the reason the M37 has the sterring set up like it is is jsut for the fact that the shackle is in the back. if you move it to the fron you can get rid of the pivot link and steering any way you want (front or rear or cross over.
