i brought my white 67 wm i had bought from a farmer outside big h

did not know how many miles it had on it, this is in say 83

i gave it to a big truck mechanic and body shop, who i actually drove some mac trucks to costa rica for before hand

and he just tuned it and painted it gun metal blue

at that point in time i was in the dracena and cordyline cane bus.(you may know them a corn plants, they use them in the malls to make em greener)

we harvested them off the boundaries of the coffee farms cut em up into 1 2 3 4 5 and 6 ft. pcs(that was as long as usda would let em in the country) load them into my partners big izuzu forward and take it back to the trapiche(where they use firewood to cook sugar cane and make brown sugar cakes and or if you were the chief of police you made cacique contraband and distrute thru your hiearchy of police officers that were in on the deal

and that is where we would process(wax the ends of the cane) it for export to nurseries in s. fl. and s. tex(lolol i know what you are thinking)

whenever we could not get to the cane with a big truck we would use betsy(8 ft. factory stepside) as i called her with a single axle trailer behind her both with stake sides above the cab filled to the brim with cane

she never flenched and you should have seen where she went in and came out of in the pouring rain in the rain forest--can't believe i never took pics

a little stupider in those days than these

maybe i will do that again with the 6x6

tired of resin and fiberglass

point is never broke an axle

cuz we were driving her like a prized possesion and wanted to make sure all of us got out unscathed

tearing up a trail is a whole nuther subject but don t kid yourself we tore up some trails
