I dont think the pinion on a 60 would stand a chance in a strength test against the Chrysler. the 3 bearings alone put it in a different class. and the thrust block saves the teeth. if you could put 5.83 gears in a 60 I bet it would last about a week adn the pinion bearings would be toast. the forces on the pinion when you only have 6 teeth are huge. the first thing to break on the Spicer 70s in the W300s with 5.87s is the pinion shaft.
