Hambone, Are you going to the Iowa rally? I picked up two, each from different guys, there last year. They needed work but they were complete with good bases. I don't remember what I paid but I thought I got a bargain. I was going to buy used ones from vintage. They had a couple of 55 gal. drums of them from the trucks they parted out in Thailand.
Yesterday I cut two rusted out buckets apart and welded a good piece into the best one to replace the missing bottom mount area. I'm learning how to run my mig welder and it seemed like a good project. I need to work on windshield frames and they are a lot thinner and rustier. Now that the weather has gotten better I'm playing with all my toys (er tools) every day. If it helps you out I made a mold of the headlight mount and cast one from epoxy. I've only cast the one and haven't trimmed it up yet. Seems to be a good copy but I don't know how durable it will be. Jim
