The one in this 58 is a cast iron Load Flite I believe. You'll have to get one from a 315 since a 318 poly or LA tranny won't mate up. The rear of the engine like everything else is different. The 315 is at least two inches shorter than a 318. I've got a 58 TW here that is on my list that has a push button. I just got a transmission for it from California. Now have to see if I can get it rebuilt. If you locate a transmission try to get the cross member and mount for it along with the shifter cable and kick down linkage. The cooler is an external unit that has hoses running to and from the engine topside. It's a little more involved than a person thinks with these older models. Oh and if you have a 4 wheel drive you'll need the short tail shaft model.
