The driver's drop t-case uses a shifter in the center along the top so anywhere I can throw a cross over rod for the shift mechanisim I should be good to go. I am leaving the detent pins in the case so that its as single shift stick like the WC's originally were. I don't have a transmission cover for mine either and as much as I cut out of the firewall and floor... I'll be building something from scratch.. This Allison has some serious girth to it. This is going to be a whole lot of work..

And before anyone's feelings get hurt, the old firewall was pretty bad off. It had a "false" firewall skin put over it to hide all of the holes, soft spots, etc. Was covered in BONDO.. yes, structural repairs with fiberglass bondo wrap. Looked rather old but still.. yikes. It had started to crack where the previous owner had the brake master cyl mounted. The firewall I build is going to have a few extra beads in it, and also be extra reinforced all around the pedal plates and where this giant brake unit gets mounted.
