Manny, 4th gear is good also. Vaughn said about carrier bearings, Well guess what, I am changing out the rear third member, and found a little end play on carrier, and 6 of the ring gear bolt heads snapped off. I am assuming by improper lash in r&p. Some play in pinion bearings also. I hope that is the issue. I bought a new set of trans bearings, but cannot see changing them if originals are good. Any other things to look for? John
