I am looking at running Hydro Boost, and Hydro assist with my crossover steering setup. I know Bruce in BC is doing the same and I am wondering who else out here has done it. Any bad experiences? I am going with the Hydro assist so that my wife can drive the WC53 some too. She loves the project so far so I am doing a lot of little things to appease her, and driveability is one of them.

Anyways, I will have a gear driven pump off of my rear geartrain on the Cummins ISB4, a hydro boost unit large enough to power twin piston Ford front Disc calipers and Chebby 3/4 ton single piston (K20 fronts) on the rear axle. The assist ram doesn't need to be huge (38" XMLs) but I do need to match it to my steering gear. I am looking at the Scout II outside frame boxes, or possibly using a smaller inside the frame Astro Van box (reverse saginaw). Ideally, the hydro assist cylinder will take the majority of the steering load too so a smaller box should still survive.

Who has done what? Any suggestions?
