If you guys are looking for a good way to put a braided weave over plug wires and not use electrical tape to terminate it, there's a good way to secure it.

There's an insulation product called shrink wrap I use in industry for insulating soldered connections & bad insulation. I'm sure someone doing wiring here has used it. It's a loose tube of a type of rubber tube that you slide over a wire, and then using a heat gun or a little blow-torch attachment on a propane soldering iron, the heat causes the tube to semi-melt, shrink, and seal around whatever it is you're insulating.

If you found the braided weave to slide over the plug wires, copper or stainless, pull it snug so it fits around the plug wire nice, using 2" long pieces of shrink-wrap on the ends would keep the weave tight around the plug wire, and the way this stuff shrinks to fit, it would terminate nice and clean. Just a thought. good luck with it.
